Central Wester Zone Health Report April 2018
The Opioid epidemic has become a major problem in our communities and some of the counties are availing themselves of the Opioid Reversal Training program. In Monroe County a group of the retired teachers has completed the training and the Monroe County Retired Teachers Organization has planned a training session for their Executive Board in early summer and offering the training for members at the Fall meeting
Most of our police, sheriffs’ departments, fire departments, pharmacists have been trained to handle Opioid Overdose and might make a great program for your groups. Be prepared, you could possibly save a family member.
We continue with our walkers and bicycle riders chalking up miles for exercise. Hopefully the weather will continue to improve and encourage us all to get up, get out and get moving.
