BARRIE FLEEGEL MEMORIAL ACTIVE EDUCATOR GRANT

 

The Central Western Zone (CWZ) of the New York State Retired Teachers’ Association (NYSRTA) is pleased to announce that grants will be available to full-time employed educational professionals possessing a Bachelor’s Degree who are pursuing permanent certification, a certificate of advanced study or an advanced degree in any educational field.

 

Grants of one hundred dollars ($100) or more will be awarded to educational professionals in each of the ten counties of CWZ:

 

Allegany, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming & Yates.

 

Eligibility:

 

The applicant must be a full-time educational professional employed in an educational facility in one of the ten counties of CWZ. The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited program of study during the spring, summer or fall semester of the current or up coming school year.

 

Application:

 

The applicant must submit a completed application form and proof of a Bachelor’s Degree. Application forms and criteria may be downloaded from website:  http://www.cwzretiredteachers.org/barrie-fleegel-grant/application/  All materials must be postmarked no later than April 15 and submitted to:

Awarding:

 

Grants will be awarded upon receipt of proof that a graduate course has been successfully completed. Presentation of a certificate will be made during a faculty function.
